Parent Toddler Program
Approx. 1 to 2 years old
Tuesdays 9:15 AM – 10:45 AM
First Step’s toddler program gives young toddlers a chance to explore while still having the security of a parent or caregiver with them. As soon as your child takes his or her “first step” he or she is ready to choose from among countless activities, including playing inside or outside, going on the swings, painting, playing in the sand, pushing a baby in the stroller, and more. Each day the program ends with parents and children singing together.
Janet Mann has been running the toddler program at First Step since 1981. During Parent-Toddler Group, Jan and another teacher are available to assist the children while they play and experience the environment. Parents get a chance to connect with each other, while being there to provide support for their child as needed. The experienced and knowledgeable teachers are available to answer questions about parenting and child development.
